Thanks for your question and for visiting Kids Consult.

There is no easy answer, and to be honest, my first response would be not to bother. Just let her play with a toothbrush and let her muck around herself. Once she's comfortable doing that, and maybe role play with a doll or something like that, then have another try.

At the end of the day you don't need to worry about cleaning them too often so just do the best you can until she's old enough to manage behaviourally when her language is more sophisticated.
